The Computer Club for seniors will meet at the Mabel Kay Senior Center on April 16 at 10 a.m. The club is not exclusive to Mabel Kay residents. All area seniors are welcome to attend the club, which is both informative and social. Instructors will lead discussions and answer computer-related questions. No preregistration is required. Hopkins Lane remains closed as repairs continue on the outfall pipe from the Hopkins Pond Dam. The dam structure itself is in excellent condition, and there is no danger to health, safety and welfare of residents. It is anticipated that the work will be completed by the end of the week. The exact timing of the project is dependent upon the weather and other factors.
At the April 14 Philadelphia 76ers basketball game against the Boston Celtics, Burlington County resident and Bancroft of Haddonfield employee, Eric Eberman, will be honored with the Sixers “Heroes Among Us” award.
The award is given to people in the greater Philadelphia area who have made exceptional and overwhelming contributions to better the lives of children in the community.
To help prevent crime, Haddonfield Civic Association’s Neighborhood Watch program is attempting to keep Haddonfield and its residents as safe and sound as possible, while also bringing together an already responsive and friendly community.
From April 12 to May 3, participating retailers throughout downtown Haddonfield will be hosting a town-wide scavenger hunt.
