Amelia Frances Ryan, a 2010 Haddonfield Memorial High School graduate, recently co-authored a professional journal article published in GenBank.
The Haddonfield Lions Club will host its annual Pasta Bowl Dinner and Basket Auction on Sunday, March 23. The Pasta Bowl will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Christ the King School gymnasium on 164 Hopkins Avenue. All proceeds from the Pasta Bowl will benefit the Lions Club Blind Fund, which provides financial support to blind members of the community.
The Kiwanis Club of the Haddons will host a pajama drive to support the New Jersey Chapter of the Pajama Program on Friday, March 7 at 12:15 p.m. The meeting will take place at Tavistock Country Club, 100 Tavistock Lane. New pairs of pajamas will be accepted for school age boys and girls. After the lunch meeting, club visitors will help sort the pajamas for charity. A three-course lunch is available for $12.50.
Freeholder Carmen Rodriguez, liaison to the Camden County Department of Health and Human Services, advises municipalities that Camden County will be under a “Code Blue” severe weather advisory through Friday morning.
Miriam A. Egan, age 79 of Venice, Fla., formerly of Haddonfield, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 23, in the comfort of the hospice where she stayed.
