Broder won't run for re-election

Moorestown Town Councilman Seth Broder announced that he will no longer seek re-election to the Moorestown Town Council in the upcoming November election. He will be replaced on the ballot by Moorestown resident Brian Sattinger.

“Over the past four years, I balanced many roles: a husband, a father, a practicing attorney, a businessman and an elected official. However, I must find a better balance, which will allow me more time with my family,” said Broder, A Democrat elected to Town Council in 2006.  “After much consideration, I have decided not to seek re-election.”

Sattinger has been selected by the Moorestown Democratic Committee to run as its candidate for Town Council in the November election. Sattinger, currently serving as the CFO for Ironbound Capital, an asset-management firm in Princeton, would bring significant financial experience and technological acumen to the Moorestown Town Council, committee members said.

Sattinger and his wife, Julie, are active in community and civic affairs and have two sons, ages 6 and 9. Brian currently serves on the township’s Technology Advisory committee.

Sattinger said he is hoping to build on the success of Broder “whose leadership on economic development will be missed.
